Manuscript Writing Workshop

August 25, 2020

We are delighted to announce our new event - the manuscript writing workshop!
This will be an online event hosted on Zoom and it will take place on Tuesday, 25th of August at 7pm. It will include short talks from 3 speakers (who we will be introducing in the next couple of days) followed by a Q&A. The event will be particularly useful for giving you some guidance how to write up a project you have conducted, for example for your SSC, intercalated degree or an elective.

Workshop: Writing a Letter to the Editor

September 27, 2020

Have you ever wanted to publish as a medical student? Or wanted to engage more with the academic literature than just passive reading? Or saw letters to the editor and opinion pieces written by other medical students, and wondered how did they manage to do it?
If some of those are things you thought about, please join us for a workshop which will demystify letters to the editor and opinion pieces.

CONSAMS

October 19, 2020

This an initiative will aim to promote awareness about clinical academia among medical students. However, thanks to the different societies coming together, we will do it on a national scale.
Our main activities will include online webinars organised by different societies to educate students about research, give them the confidence to approach academics for projects and some of the skills to conduct them. In the future we are hoping that CONSAMS will also provide a platform for collaborative research projects.

Critical Appraisal Workshop

October 28, 2020
